Anodised Aluminium
Aluminium inherently benefits from being extremely corrosion resistant however it can still oxidise and corrode over time. Anodising aluminium improves corrosion resistance as well as giving a consistent, aesthetic finish.
Naturally, anodised aluminium has a matt, silver finish however this can be altered with polishing or linishing before anodising.
The anodic layer created during the anodising process can vary in thickness, we can offer between 5 – 25 microns from our in-house anodising plant. The thickness of the layer is determined by the length of time the current is passed through the solution – the longer the metal spends in the process, the thicker the anodising layer and the greater the corrosion resistance.
